Keith Urban supported his wife at the 2009 Granny (oops, Grammy) Awards last night when she was nominated for the 'Best Hair Extensions' award. Unfortunately she didn't win because hair extensions are NOT meant to be so easy to notice.
Keith and Nicole did the usual 'let's look into each other's eyes and hold hands' routine for the media in a display of their true love. Paul McCartney also posed with the two to try and steal some of Nicole's famous camera-hogging. Nicole did her best to try and push Sir Paul out of the way.
Oh, by the way, Keith was nominated for 'Best Country Collaboration' for his duet with Trisha Yearwood on the song Let the Wind Chase You.

Yeah, your right, choice, I like to call them her bozo extensions... and in regards to that pic with paul mccartney, if kidman was standing any closer to sir paul...she'd be behind him!! I thought the orb was basically mediocre... a simple side kick nom...loitering during Al green's "Let stay together". The orb is really picking up kidman notorious habit of desperatly just hanging around...
She looks positively awful in these photos. Am I imagining it, or is her head bigger than normal. I knew she was an alien, but I didn't think she was ET. Does Keith really want that holding his hand? I couldn't stop laughing at her poses. What a laugh she is. I wonder when "The Nicole Kidman Show" hits my town?
Actually, I'm going to cut Keith slack on his performances. Al Green says he was given 2 hours and 40 minutes prep time to get the song squared away and get dressed for the stage. Which means Keith has less time.
For someone not trained in either blueswork or soul, for someone given maybe 2 hours prep time total, methinks he did rather well. No, his solo wasn't earth-shattering, but IIRC, no one else soloed at all.
I'll give him credit for this one. He wasn't loitering with intent, he was asked to join in, prolly by some frantic producers.
I thought Keith did fine. He was in his element and yes, it was last minute, which to me, made it that much more impressive. I thought he did well all night. It was an honor for him to be involved to the extent he was.
NK...she looked like a clown. She's obviously had some more work done. She has a very big head and her frame is shrinking...making it appear even bigger than it is. Funny that a woman who isn't even part of the music scene has more photos of herself at the Grammy's than any of the artists who were being honored.
I thought Keith did great considering it was last minute. And it looks like he dressed himself for a change. He wasn't wearing one of Tom's hand me down banker suits Thank God. She on the other hand looked awful. She reminds me of Mr Mackie on South Park. He's got a little skinny body and a big helium ballon head. At least we can all be thankful that as ugly as her dress was at least for once it wasn't see thru.
You know that Italian scientists claimed that Botox could seap through the skin and into the brain - so maybe that's why her head has got so big. Failing that, there's always Anorexia which Nicole is a bit partial to from time to time - in her quest to look like a friggin Barbie doll!
Hello Anon 7:55AM
I've heard various reports about risks of Botox. Long term research is still being done too I believe. Botox contains rat poison so it's not something you'd want to inject near your brain. Nicole was never brainy anyway, so it may not matter. The big head is odd, and as you pointed out, is likely attributable to her skinny tall body. I just wish she would stop with those long hair extensions - it actually makes her face look longer. You can kind of see why they say women over 40 should not wear really long hair (drags the face down). I used to wonder why she straightened her own hair out but now we all a realise her own hair is hidden under the 'straight' horse hair.
There's nothing wrong with long hair for over 40. If it's your own hair. Hair extensions are passe'. Kidman is no Barbie doll. They have better figures. As for her husband. He looked good. Sounded good too.
wow , i love watching these awards. so fun.
