WARNING! The most stupid commercial ever! Wait for the cut version!

Nicole's Ginger Ale commercial was released this week on various websites.  This is the commercial that Nicole recently made in India with the 'Slumdog Millionaire' girl for Indian audiences. It was directed by Ridley Scott and makes no sense!  It tries to be cute too, but is really just another cringe-worthy Kidman project.

View the complete uncut commercial here.  Warning! Have a bucket ready! The commercial is truly vomit inducing.

The cut version of the commercial, which completely removes Nicole Kidman, makes much more sense!  It will be available very soon because apparently Ginger Ale sales in India have crashed since the uncut commercial was released.

Nicole now gets an additional label. Not only is she 'Box Office Poison', but also 'TV Poison' (well, in India anyway).

As one review of this pathetic advert put it:

"What did you expect?"
Erm, how about an advert that makes me want to buy a Schweppes instead of your botox-ridden face pretending for one second it has been anywhere near anything containing a calorie?
Who dreams up this shit?

Leave it to a "hollywood" director to try and promote that tired and shallow idea that the eastern indians would somehow be enamored by an "ivory skinned princess...( the image of jessica lange being worshipped by the jungle natives in 1976's King Kong comes to mind)...of course overlooking that kidman herself is about as popular as the swine flu...this is simply a pretty "chinsy" paycheck for kidman.

A little silly (content wise)but the scenery is truly beautiful. I guess that if that is what sells the product them so be it.

Hi Maclen - I remember that Jessica Lange movie too. I think it is hilarious the way the commerical is trying to make Kidman look like a white wrinkle-free beauty but we all know it's thanks to the botox. Perhaps India is more forgiving of injecting poison into one's face.

This commercial will certainly go down in history as a laugh I am sure.

Yes, choice Ive already seen quite a few articles on this "odd" or "bizzare" commercial. It is about as insubstancial as kidman's usual films...and it will get about as much derision or a simple WTF...and yeah, her botox frozen face is about as useful for simple ginger ale shilling or a Sears lingerie model.

Nicole likes to do stuff that she thinks showcases her (manufactured) beauty doesn't she? Well, for those of us who don't buy it (when I look at her I think of Betty from the Archies), this is just cringeworthy. I would have believed it more with someone young and ethereal in the role...

Do you think that it's been digitally enhanced? Her face looks completely unnatural, as though she's morphing from a human being into a sophisticated digital animation. Apart from that it's completely banal.

Does anybody else feel uncomfortable with the presence of a small child in a semi-sexual situation? From how I read it: The child greets Nicole, inspects her face. Nicole meets a man and then begins to undress while the child looks on and smiles. Then Nicole drinks a soft drink and giggles. Was the child her pimp? Am I missing something?

Hi Linda
Yes, I think the commercial was digitally enhanced. Besides the botox, Kidman just looks too fake. The digital effects were also used I am sure to add some hair to that head. The wigs are on holiday.

EEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!

I wondered why I felt so yucky!

I thought it was just my usual reaction, but now that you mention it. . . . .

It's a good point Hoosier.

An advert like this would never pass classification in Australia particularly because of a new legislation which prevents sexualisation of children in media. This advert kinds of crosses that line.
